Christina, founder of Stia Jewelry, began her fashion journey as a teenager. It was in high school, 2002, that Christina designed, made and sold fabric handbags on which the Stia name, her nickname, was first used. In college, 2003, her passion for design and innovation continued, and Stia became part of the local fashion community.
After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Christina went to work as a Merchandise Manager in the NYC bra industry. In 2012, with her first newborn son at home, mommy-hood was deeply rooted in Christina’s soul and a choice was made to part ways from her growing NYC fashion career.

Miyuki® Tila beads are manufactured glass that is melted in a 1400 degree furnace and then formed into a tubular mold through blowing and stretching. A special cutting machine is used to perfectly cut the desired size; a second forming process occurs after the cutting machine. Beads are cleaned and then electroplated, dyed, baked, and cleaned. There are many technical difficulties producing these beads hence the premium quality and brilliant appeal. Some of the product difficulties are color shading, cutting, and the tolerance to perfectly scale, shape and round.

In college, I worked for several retail stores and loved working with accessories and people. After graduating with a Special Education degree, I taught Special Needs and absolutely loved it. I still knew I had another love and that was retail. I began with small neighborhood-based jewelry trunk shows, from there, MBS was established in 2003.
Starting my own fashion jewelry company was a dream come true. I got my first big break on ShopNBC in 2009, with the ability to sell on TV, which was absolutely thrilling, it remedied any midlife crisis especially with a broadcasting degree I had not used. From there, I launched a “fashion jewelry” line and MBS has experienced steady growth ever since!
Almost 20 Years with fresh designs and “on-trend” styles, regional friends and small business owners began to demonstrate increased interest and carrying her unique line of products.
In 2012, a significant growth milestone occurred, with a presence at the Atlanta Apparel market. Leveraging her broader market presence, MBS now proudly sells to over 1,800 locations across the country Meghan’s Unique Approach - Meghan’s blend of energy and sense of fashion provide a fresh, on trend, line of MBS jewelry that represents the cornerstone to any wardrobe!!
